Since it's 1:18 a.m. here in Houston, I might as well get a head start on this week.  Today is the last day for Christmas in July.  I didn't even get to share all of the projects that I got.  I will upload them all to the gallery tomorrow when I have some time. 

I am excited to have a page from Jen to share with you.  This was her first page for the challenge but I give her props for getting one done.  And I LOVE this page.  The colors, papers, and the picture are all perfect.  Hope you all have a FANTASTIC week and I'll be back with more later.  :)

Christmas Cheer by Libby

Since there is only one more day for Christmas in July, and the girls have been cranking out their Christmas layouts, I figured I had better post another one, although I have lots of other great pages waiting in the wings.  Libby has been a machine this weekend, which made it hard to pick which one to share.

I chose this one because it is the quintessential Libby page.  The way she uses the black background with the fun bright colors is perfect.  My favorite part of this layout is how she got the picture of Taylor sitting next to his huge pile of presents.  This makes me think of two things.  1.  I am totally doing that next year and 2.  I want to be at her house for Christmas!  Have a great Sunday and we'll see you tomorrow.

Christmas 1968 by Dianne

As Christmas in July winds down, I am thrilled to have a few more pages to share.  This one is from Dianne.  She gets extra credit from pulling out a picture from 1968.  I would tell you how many years ago that was, but I am sure you can do the math and Dianne would likely prefer not to see that number in writing. (just kidding, Dianne).  My favorite element of this page, other than the picture, is the gorgeous tag she made.  And I totally LOVE this paper.  I guess I need to get some now.  :)  Hope you all have a wonderful weekend full of fun and scrapbooking.  We will be back tomorrow so don't forget to stop back by!

Happy Friday, once again.  I honestly have no clue where this week has gone.  Wasn't it just Friday, yesterday????

In any case, as we roll into the weekend and the last weekend of July, it is time to get busy on those Christmas projects!  I am so impressed with my girls and how many Christmas pages they have done.  Here is a page from Cheryl.  So happy to see her scrapping again!  Nobody does simple better.  This page is proof of that!

I know, I know.  I am a cheater.  (although you probably didn't know that, but I am fessing up anyway).  I am feeling pretty lame right now because the Christmas challenge is my challenge and I haven't done a thing (and my gallery is pretty bare). Besides, as the other girls know, I am the queen and you can't argue with that kind of logic.  :) So, here is a page I did last year for QK that hasn't ever been posted. I love this page and I can't believe how little Jared was! I love unconventional colors for Christmas and winter layouts and I really love this CBX paper.  I promise, before the end of the month, I WILL post something new for this challenge.  I have 5 days left, right?  But just in case I don't...  enjoy!  Have a great day!

Christmas Lunch Pail by Karen

I am happy to say that Christmas in July is still in full swing.  Here is a super cute lunch pail Karen made. I really love the paper she used.  But I am a huge CBX fan, so that isn't a surprise.  I have to admit that I'm pretty impressed with the girls this month.  We host challenges every month but actually doing them is a different story.  If anyone wants to join in, e-mail me what you make (anything Christmas related) and I will add them to the gallery.  At the end of the month, I will draw a name for a prize for participating.

Better Late Than Never - 3 Challenge Pages from Libby

Happy Sunday!  (or what's left of it, anyway).  Can you believe we had a thunderstorm roll through at 5:30 yesterday and knock our power out for 3 hours.  When it came back on, my phone/internet did not come on with it.  Honestly, I would not wish 24 hours of no Internet access on my worst enemy.  Talk about cruel and unusual punishment!  In any case, I just checked my messages and I have not had much time to scan through the newest layouts.  But, I did see that Libby posted 3 layouts for the Christmas in July challenge and since you have had to wait ALL DAY for something new and exciting, I figured what better way to make it up to you than to share all 3 of her pages. 

It looks like we have another thunderstorm rolling in, please keep your fingers crossed that it does not affect my power or my computer.  I really want to scrap tonight. Hope you all had a great weekend and we'll be back tomorrow with something fabulous, I'm sure!

Notes about these pages:  Libby has an awesome tradition of taking some time out on Christmas night, to reflect on the holiday and to journal about it.  That way, when she gets around to making the page (a year or two later), she has all of the memories written down.

Busy, Busy, Busy!

Well, now that I have the site up and running, I have been so busy trying to keep up with the other girls getting their work posted that I have had no time to add anything to my own gallery.  I guess I should be used to that by now with 3 little boys at home, huh?  :)  Anyway, I have added galleries for everyone with their most recent layouts and I will continue to update as new layouts are posted.  Enjoy!

Christmas in July!

Since it is July, it is my month to host the challenge.  I said last Decemember that I was going to host Christmas in July because we are always frantically rushing to make cards and gifts in December, which is already a busy time.  So, here it is!  My challenge is to make anything Christmas related.  Layouts, cards, gifts, home decor... pretty much anything you wish you could have made last year, but didn't.  If anyone else wants to join in on our challenge, e-mail your projects to me and I will choose some to post on the site.  Have fun and can't wait to see what you do!  Jennifer
