8th Grade by Leslie

Today, I have a page from Leslie, featuring her son, Zach on his first day of 8th grade.  I have known these girls for almost 5 years now, and it amazes me to see how all of their children have grown up.  and the thought of Zach being in 8th grade is mind boggling. Next thing we'll know, our kids will be driving, going to college and getting married!  I know I sound like I am getting ahead of myself but we all know it's coming and that is a scary thought.  That is what makes scrapbooking so great.  It is fun to remember these milestones and to think about what lies ahead.

While this page isn't inspired by someone else, it reminds me how much I used tolove my label maker.  So I think I have been inspired to dust mine off and make something great with it.  I should also note that Leslie has mde some fabu Valentine's but I am saving those for next month so be sure to check back.  Hope you are feeling inspired and that you had a great weekend!

Padres 2006 by Jen M

As you may know, we are a big baseball family.  My oldest son, Jordan has been playing competitive baseball for several years now and he is very gifted.  I love taking baseball photos and I often take pictures for him as well as the other players on his team.  I have more pictures than I know what to do with so at minimum, I want to create a book with one page of him every season in his batting stance with his uniform and his number.  I believe I have already shared a picture from him last spring.  This page features a photo from the fall of 2006.  He is only 7 years old and he looks like a pro already!  Now that the season is kicking back into gear, I really want to get the rest of his photos done before I take any more.  I'm not too optimistic, but it can happen.  I have been staring at this page for 2 hours thinking that it needs something else.  But since I can't seem to figure out what that would be, I am calling it done.  My design and colors are inspired by the San Diego Padres logo.

First Day of K by Sam

Sorry I have missed the last couple of days.  Karen was in town and we had a lot of shopping to do. But now we are back to the normal routine and I have a brand new layout to share from Sam.  She keeps very busy doing QuicKutz projects so it is always nice when she gets to do something just for fun... even more so when it is a challenge page.  Sam's inspiration came from the Page Maps April, 2007 sketch.  I know when I need a starting point, I always look to sketches.  This is a great way to get going and to quickly come up with a design you are sure to love.  Why make it harder than it has to be?

If you know me, I am not much a fan of winter but I wouldn't mind a little cold and snow if it meant I could take a picture as cute as this!  I think the red background Libby chose is awesome because I think her photo jumps off the page.  And that is definitely a sweet face.  :)  Have a great day!

Today we have a page from Dianne.  While I am still learning to appreciate digital layouts, I have to admit that Dianne has embraced the art of digital design and has produced some fantastic pages over the last year.  Even though Christmas has passed, I can't help but share this one because I think it is one of my new favorites.  Her design was inspired by this page and I don't think it could be more perfect.  Doesn't hurt that those are the cutest elves I have ever seen!  That's it for today.  Have a great weekend

Altered Clock by Leslie

As promised, I am finally updating the CS blog with some new projects.  It has been far too long and surprisingly there are a few of you out there in cyberspace who keep checking to see if I have posted anything new.  I appreciate that we have at least a few visitors here and I hope that we will ring in the new year with lots of new inspiration. 

On the subject of inspiration, Karen has challenged all of us to get scrapping this month and the subject of the challenge is inspiration.  Inspiration is everywhere.  You can be inspired by a magazine, by a blog or even by the colors in your favorite sweater.  Being that I have not posted in so long and I have a multitude of layouts to choose from, I actually chose a non-layout for today.  I am sharing a clock that Leslie made that was inspired by a project from Cheryl.  As we all know, Cheryl is the queen of inspiration and the "decorating diva" so it comes as no surprise that Leslie would enjoy using her clock to create one of her own. 

Because I have not been posting layouts, the girls quit giving me supply lists but I'll try to get them started again.  If you want to know about something in particular, feel free to e-mail me or leave a comment and I'll get the answer for you.  Also, if I fall of the wagon and quit posting, send me a nasty e-mail.  The guilt should be enough to get me back into gear.    That being said...
