Here is another page from the weekend sketch challenge.  Cheryl took a simpler approach which is reflective of her style.  When I look at this picture, I can not believe how old Lucas looks.  One of my favorite things about scrapbooking is seeing how children I have know for years are growing up and turning into little people.  At the same time, it makes me a little sad to see them growing up so fast.

Good Helmet by Cheryl

Cheryl did this layout for a challenge using "bad" photos.  First off, I think my photos always look like this so that makes me wonder what a "good" photo looks like.  LOL.  Cheryl's complaint is that she forgot to change her camera settings and they came out overexposed.  Personally, I think they totally work with the colors she chose and the theme of the layout. Once again, simplicity at it's finest.

Loving this page by Cheryl.  The journaling beneath the photo looks awesome and I think that is the sweetest picture of her with Lucas.  Really, there isn't much more to say.  Just an all around simple and perfect page.

So you may not know this, but Cheryl's knickname is the "decorating diva" at the LSS where she works.  We have some other names for her, but I am assuming that she would rather I not share them.  :)

In any case, when her store has something that is not selling, they often request that she take the product and make something fabulous.  And without a doubt, she is always successful in that respect.  This here, is a cupboard door measuring 11x18.  She altered it and used these large Basic Grey letters for the title (which was the assignment).  Doesn't it look amazing?  There isn't much that Cheryl does that isn't amazing, though.  So it's no surprise! Have a great weekend and go alter something!

Crazed by Cheryl

Although this layout would not be considered "innovative" in it's design, I can't help but be amazed by Cheryl's ability to effectly embellish her pages with something as simple as a squiggly arrow.  But the combination of that arrow and the text really gets the point across... literally.  All I can say is this is such a cute layout and I feel a little sorry for Bella.  :)

I am not sure how it is that Cheryl hasn't put Cathy Z out of a job yet because this girl knows how to make simple look fabulous.  I think that everything about this page is just enough and the way she set up the title depicts the mood of the layout perfectly.  I love the vertical orientation of the photo, too.
