Today we have a page from Dianne.  While I am still learning to appreciate digital layouts, I have to admit that Dianne has embraced the art of digital design and has produced some fantastic pages over the last year.  Even though Christmas has passed, I can't help but share this one because I think it is one of my new favorites.  Her design was inspired by this page and I don't think it could be more perfect.  Doesn't hurt that those are the cutest elves I have ever seen!  That's it for today.  Have a great weekend

Mama Kitty by Dianne

Here is Dianne's page from the sketch challenge I posted yesterda.  Can you tell we have had a lot of discussion about kittys this week?  :)  You might also note a recurring theme in the names of our cats. At least 4 of the 9 of us have cats named "Kitty"  It's not terribly original... I like to think we are saving up our creativity for our layouts.  Isn't this page from Dianne wonderful?  That little red heart just adds a perfect finishing touch.

I do not think I have ever seen a more amazing page using orange and brown before but I can't help but love this page by Dianne.  Isn't is gorgeous?  She manged to make these colors completely feminine and beautiful.

Posting Again, A Contest and Remember This by Dianne

As you can tell, Classic Scrappers has become all but defunct over the last few months.  It is not for a lack of layouts available for posting.  Just my reluctance to get back to it.  I have a hard enough time posting to my own blog.  And I have an even harder time putting the effort into this one because I'm not sure if anyone actually reads it.

However, I keep stockpiling layouts from the girls and I really feel like I should try to fire this baby up one more time.  My kiddos have been out of school for 8 weeks now, and I was sure this was going to be the summer I would start scrapping again.  Unfortunately, I haven't.  I always seem to find something else to do.  I guess all I can do is start posting and hoping that I will be inspired to get some pages of my own done.  So without further ado, here we go... again. 

And if you want to see the Classic Scrappers updated daily (at least Monday-Friday) I would love for you to let me know you are reading.  In fact, this week I am giving away this brand new special edition magazine from Paper Crafts to one lucky reader.  Just stop by and check out the latest layouts from some of my talented friends and leave a comment.  I will take all of the names and put them in a hat and at the end of the week, one of my little helpers will randomly draw the name of one lucky winner.  :)

Now on to our first layout... I decided that I should start with a page from Dianne.  A lot has happened since my last post.  I believe I had just announced the engagement of her son, Matt, who is now married.  This is the first page Dianne has done for a keepsake album that she is making for Matt and Val.  I can only imagine how daunting this task must be.  But at least it is digital.  I still have nightmares about my wedding pictures being cut into hearts with zig zag scissors.  Of course, 4 years ago, I started redoing my wedding album and I still haven't finished.  Now I feel compelled to start all over again (don't tell my husband)!  Anyway, I would like to congratulate Matt & Val one more time.  What an amazing thing it is to find your soulmate.  I wish them lots of love and happiness (and Dianne lots of grandbabies).  And isn't this page beautiful?  Simple perfection.

American Idol Tour by Dianne

In honor of one of our favorite television programs, I thought today was a good day to share Dianne's page commemorating her trip to see the finalists perform live on tour last year.  I just love the way she took the photo of Annie standing next to the poster.  It almost looks as if she is on the tour with them.  The only thing I think she could have done differently is blocked out all of the other performers and had her blowing kisses at Chris Daughtry.  But that's just me.  :)  In any case, love this page and can't wait till tonght to see who gets voted off.  Until tomorrow, have a great day!

Here is a rare layout about Dianne's son, Jeffrey.  He does not love the camera the way Matt & Annie do (or at least is not as tolerant) so we don't get to see him as often.  When Dianne shared this page, I instantly fell in love with it because I think the biggest challenge with creating digital pages is making them look just as they would if you had created it with paper.  I think this layout does exactly that.  It has Dianne's signature style and it turned out perfect!

Snow by Dianne

On an awesomeness scale of 1 to 10, I think I am going to have to give this page a 13!  Dianne his it out of the park when she created this layout using the soft blue wintery background with that fabulous picture of Annie wearing red.  If I didn't know better, I would think that photo was taken in a studio because it is almost too perfect.  And the way she formatted it with the snowflaky thing looks amazing.  It isn't easy to do, but I think Dianne has created a new favorite page.  Really, it is simple perfection.
