This is another sketch challenge page.  Unfortunately, I do not remember where the sketch came from so I'll post it if I find out.  The great thing about this sketch is the photo placement... this is the perfect arrangement for a 3 picture layout, especially with two adorable subjects.

8th Grade by Leslie

Today, I have a page from Leslie, featuring her son, Zach on his first day of 8th grade.  I have known these girls for almost 5 years now, and it amazes me to see how all of their children have grown up.  and the thought of Zach being in 8th grade is mind boggling. Next thing we'll know, our kids will be driving, going to college and getting married!  I know I sound like I am getting ahead of myself but we all know it's coming and that is a scary thought.  That is what makes scrapbooking so great.  It is fun to remember these milestones and to think about what lies ahead.

While this page isn't inspired by someone else, it reminds me how much I used tolove my label maker.  So I think I have been inspired to dust mine off and make something great with it.  I should also note that Leslie has mde some fabu Valentine's but I am saving those for next month so be sure to check back.  Hope you are feeling inspired and that you had a great weekend!

Altered Clock by Leslie

As promised, I am finally updating the CS blog with some new projects.  It has been far too long and surprisingly there are a few of you out there in cyberspace who keep checking to see if I have posted anything new.  I appreciate that we have at least a few visitors here and I hope that we will ring in the new year with lots of new inspiration. 

On the subject of inspiration, Karen has challenged all of us to get scrapping this month and the subject of the challenge is inspiration.  Inspiration is everywhere.  You can be inspired by a magazine, by a blog or even by the colors in your favorite sweater.  Being that I have not posted in so long and I have a multitude of layouts to choose from, I actually chose a non-layout for today.  I am sharing a clock that Leslie made that was inspired by a project from Cheryl.  As we all know, Cheryl is the queen of inspiration and the "decorating diva" so it comes as no surprise that Leslie would enjoy using her clock to create one of her own. 

Because I have not been posting layouts, the girls quit giving me supply lists but I'll try to get them started again.  If you want to know about something in particular, feel free to e-mail me or leave a comment and I'll get the answer for you.  Also, if I fall of the wagon and quit posting, send me a nasty e-mail.  The guilt should be enough to get me back into gear.    That being said... Blessed by Leslie

Leslie has had a difficult time with her health the last few months so I know that she enjoys getting a chance to scrap when she can.  I think it is wonderful that she created this page to capture the feelings she had about someething as simple as some wildflowers growing through the cracks in her patio.  We definitely need to take more time to appreciate the little things.  On that note, have a wonderful weekend and we'll see you again on Monday!

Hope you all had a nice weekend.  Lucky for me, yesterday was a holiday so I don't feel quite so bad about forgetting to post a layout.  :)

Leslie did this page about her CUTE nephew awhile back and I don't know why I haven't ever shared it.  I always love blue and brown together and a darling picture like that just makes this page perfect.  I love Leslie's classic style.  She doesn't feel like she needs to reinvent the wheel when she scraps.  Shes goes with what works.  Maybe if I did the same, I would get more done!

My Wish for You by Leslie

Believe it or not, here is a page from Leslie and I LOVE it.  Probably because I can not get over how pretty that paper is.  I'm not sure who makes it but I will find out. 

Leslie decided to use the lyrics from one of her favorite songs as her inspiration for this page about her son, Zach.  Although this isn't a new technique, I still think it's a great way to express your feelings.  It's amazing how many songs I hear and think how they relate to me or that I can relate to an event. I think this is a powerful addition to a page and often says things that we are unable to put into our own words.  Pairing them up with a simple linear design and some fabu paper is definitely a win-win combination.

This Woman by Leslie

I know I promised you two layouts today but since Leslie actually posted a layout and it's her turn, I figured I had better get it up on the site.  Now she has 2 pages in her gallery.  LOL.    Anyway, this is a page Leslie made about her relationship with her SIL.  Isn't it beautiful?  The paper choices are perfect and I love the bulleted list with the brads. I don't have a product list but I am willing to guess that the patterned paper is Chatterbox.  I'll get the rest up asap.

I bet you were beginning to wonder if Leslie was a real person.  LOL.  Leslie is very real.  She is just always busy doing things for other people.  You will never meet a kinder or sweeter person in your life.  She is also a great scrapbooker.  This is a layout she did featuring the new Firecracker line from Rusty Pickle.  I love this photograph of her family and I think the simple design is perfect because it keeps the focus on the picture.  But simple is always good where I am concerned.  :) I also want to note that Leslie has 2 granddaughters.  I have to say she is the best looking grandma I know!  Have a great day and we'll see you tomorrow.
