Snow Day by Libby

If you know me, I am not much a fan of winter but I wouldn't mind a little cold and snow if it meant I could take a picture as cute as this!  I think the red background Libby chose is awesome because I think her photo jumps off the page.  And that is definitely a sweet face.  :)  Have a great day!

When I opened up this layout, I was sure it was going to contain some super sappy journaling about how Kendra resembles Libby.  So you can imagine my surprise when I saw the pictures and read the journaling.  I always enjoy whimsical journaling and I think this is a really cute & fun page with a great topic!

I think this page is one of my new favorites from Libby.  While she is known for her bold bright pages, I love when she uses a white background.  This page is fresh and fun.  The perfect design for the theme.

Libby isn't usually one to experiment with white space (black space... maybe) so when I saw this page, I knew it would be a new favorite.  Because the word art was so busy, she chose to keep the rest of the layout simple.  She couldn't have done it any better.  The beautiful picture of Dianne's daughter sure didn't hurt.

Hi again!  I know I promised it would get things up and running yesterday, but once again, time got away from me.  But I am happy to say that I have tons of great new pages saved up to share so I hope you keep checking back.

Today, I have a page from LIbby.  I'm sure you could have guessed that if you looked at the overall design and awesome color scheme....  this page screams Libby.  And I have to note that she is quite the hopeless romantic, spending her 10 year anniversary at a Nascar race (just kidding, Libby).  She really enjoys watching the races with her husband so I know this was a perfect vacation for them.  I'm glad she captured the occasion with a fun page like this.  Have a good one!

Practically Twins by Libby

I have to admit, I am not a huge fan of black & white pictures.  I like them well enough in moderation, but I think they are overused in scrapbooking because people don't like the challenge of making product work with their photos.  I just think that the colors in a photo are more "real life" and they tell a lot about what is going on.  But that is just me. I know I am in the minority there.

In any case, when Libby posted this layout, I couldn't help but love the black & white photo with this. I have always been a fan of teal with black and white and the extra splash of color on the border ties it all together perfectly.  I think this is such a fun colorful page that the whole thing works.

Happy Birthday Daddy by Libby

The one thing I really like about digital layouts is having the ability to use a black background with white text.  I love that Libby was able to keep this page about her husband's birthday masculine while managing to throw in a few simple flowers for her daughter.  Or is is just because she likes flowers?  In any case, I think this is just a fun simple birthday page.   I know we all hate doing them so I hope this inspires you.  Have a good one!

First Teen Magazine by Libby

I am finally back!  And once again, I have been stockpiling pages full of inspiration from some of my favorite scrapbookers.  Today I have a page from Libby that exemplifies her ability to use black and still make it fun and girly.  I think this is a page that Kendra will love to look back on one day.  Our children have so many milestones in their lives, and even something as simple as their first magazine is something that I think they would love to remember.  Especially because it is a great way to remember that era.  I am sure that when her children see this page, they are going to be saying, "Carrie who?"  And then Kendra will be happy to regale them with a few bars from some of her biggest hits.  Then, her children will laugh at her and tell her how lame she is.  Then she will be vindicated for the torture that she endured throughout her childhood, listening to her mom's music.  I still recall my mom making me listen to Jim Croce when I was a kid.  I didn't enjoy it all that much.  Perhaps I should start playing some Nine Inch Nails for my kids?  Then again, I probably don't want Jared going to preschool singing "Head Like a Hole."  So maybe I'll stick to the Disney tunes just a little bit longer.  :)
