Knowing that 12U is the big year for Youth Baseball World Series events, the Bulldogs decided to leave Texas and make it a big one. We chose to go to the Omaha College World Series Experience at Champions Village. While the thought of spending a week in Omaha wasn't necessarily anyone's first choice for a vacation, we thought it would be a good experience for the boys. The tournament was scheduled to coincide with the College World Series and they put on a great event. The boys stayed together in a dorm for 5 nights and when they weren't playing baseball, they were meeting other teams from across the country and joining in on the never-ending game of whiffle ball. It was a great bonding experience for these boys who were already good teammates and great friends.
