After checking the boys into the dorms, we left so they could spend some time playing whiffle ball and meeting other teams. A few hours later, we returned for the Skills competition.
They started with opening ceremonies which featured a parade of all of the teams and even some sky divers. After all of the teams were introduced, the boys participated in the skills competition. Our boys represented the team well with solid performances in all categories but they did not walk away with any awards. Jacobe finished second in the fastest around the bases contest and he was amazing (of course). Hard to believe there could be anyone faster!
And look at that last photo of the boys. They are pretty cute when they smile!
Funny side note... Isaac's brother who is photo bombing the top left hand corner of the last photo is a sophomore in high school. He was wearing his world series shirt in the dorms and had everyone believing he was on the team. It's safe to say, some of the kids and parents were freaking out which we found pretty funny.
One more shout out to Sandra Prado for designing our banner and taking the awesome picture of our boys. We had one of the best banners at the World Series.
