The Bulldogs are back and we are ready for some baseball! We are pleased to welcome back Jared, Isaac, Joey, Jacobe, Andrew, Dorian and River. We are also excited to welcome 4 new teammates: Damien, Chris, Rey and Zach. Unfortunately, our new uniforms did not make it in time for our first tournament so I did not torture the boys with too many photos but I managed to get one. We will make sure to get a good team pic up next weekend after they play again.
Speaking of our first tournament... we played in the 300 Point Weekend at Premier Baseball over the weekend. We started 0-2 with some obvious growing pains. Practice never quite gets you ready for all of the variables that come up in game time. But they came back on Sunday to beat the the #9 seed and then the #1 seed with a 5 run rally in the 5th inning. The semi-final game was another close one but the long weekend seemed to take it's toll and the boys could not overcome a 4 run deficit, resulting in a loss of 5-1. In any case, they moved up from 8th place and finished in third! It was awesome to see them come together as a team and we expect great things from them this season. Way to go Bulldogs!
